The term « the company » shall mean S.T.O.R.S SAS (Société d’organisation de rideaux et de stores) The term «customer » shall mean the person; firm our company or the entity who places an order for goods with the company.
SILENTIUM DESIGN is the company’s brand name.
The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on the present site. The placing of an order indicates the acceptance of these terms and conditions. The customer, by completing and confirming his order on the site and clicking on the button « confirm the order », agrees to completely accept the general terms and conditions. All contract thus concluded will be governed by the general terms and conditions.
Every effort has been made to supply photographs, diagrams, fabric and colour illustrations that give a good indication of the product being offered. They have no contractual value in any way. It is important that the customer reads all descriptions carefully.
All our fabrics are shown as digital images using up to date photographic technology and lighting techniques. However, there may be a minor difference between the digital image and the actual fabric.
We will not be held responsible for any minor variation of the fabric between the images on our website and the finished product.
For the functioning of an order, details will be held and treated by electronic means. The client accepts this fact. Under Article 34 of the « informatique et liberté » law of 16 January 1976, the customer may have access to information relating to them.

Measuring is the customers’ sole responsibility,. Our items are made to measure and it is imperative that your measurements are correct. We cannot accept returned items because of measurements being incorrectly given (see « how to measure »).
For sliding panels, it is important to state overall measurements.

The prices of products presented on the site are valid at that moment and accounts will reflect the prices valid at the time of ordering. Payment is in Euro.
For residents of the European Union, value added tax (VAT) will be added where applicable at the appropriate rate. Prices displayed on the site are net prices. Delivery costs will be added and shown in the total price except otherwise stated.
In the case of deliveries outside of The European Union, all additional costs and duties will be the responsibility of the client.

Payment:
The settlement of orders can be made by:
Credit or debit card.Delivery:If a client uses either a credit or debit card, the details will be sent in encrypted (ssl) to our bank. Our payment service remains the sole possessor of this information. It will be held for only as long as it takes to complete the order. The order will only be confirmed once the payment has cleared. Orders taken through the fraudulent use of a credit or debit card will be annulled following the code of practice of the credit or debit card company.ChequeIf you are paying by cheque, this will need to have cleared before the company starts to prepare your made to measure order.
Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the Customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date.
When signing for goods from the carrier, the buyer agrees to check that the number of packages received corresponds with the number on the delivery note and immediately to record any numerical discrepancy or obvious external damage on the carrier’s delivery note.
Within 48 hours, damage claims must be reported by registered letter to the carrier and by email to the company. The company will reasonably assists the customer in securing satisfactory adjustment of any claims.
If any claim is so notified, the company’s sole responsibility will be limited to replacing or re-delivering the goods in question and the customer will not be entitled to any other compensation whatsoever.
Delivery of the goods shall be made to the customer’s address and the customer shall make all arrangements necessary to take delivery of the goods whenever they are tendered for delivery.
Risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to you at the time of delivery to the specified delivery address.
Cancellation:The customer cannot cancel or change the order as the goods are manufactured and made to the customers’ specifications.
Rights of the company:The company reserves the right to adjust the price and specification of any item on its website or price lists at its discretion.
The company reserves the right to withdraw any goods from its website(s) at any time.
The company shall not be liable to anyone to withdrawing any goods from its website(s)/price lists, or for refusing to accept an order.
The company has the right to refuse at its discretion to supply any goods ordered by the customer.
The company reserves the right to cancel the customers order due to insufficient stock to deliver. If the goods are unavailable, the company will notify the customer and suggest a replacement or will re-credit the customer. The company will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation. It is our company policy not to accept the return of goods once delivered, other than in exceptional circumstances at our sole discretion.
The company remains the owner of the goods until the company has been paid in full for the goods
Guarantee and returnsAll products carry a minimum of 1 year’s guarantee against failure and defects under reasonable operating conditions.
The obligation of the company is limited to repair or replacement of any defective materials or components.
The guarantee does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear.
No return is accepted, unless they have an authorization code for return.
If upon inspection of the returned goods we decide in our reasonable opinion the defect or defects have been caused by negligence, alteration/modification or misuse, we will inform the customer by email. The total cost incurred of returning the goods will be debited from the customer’s credit or debit card within 30 days of the company receiving the defective goods.
The terms and conditions are subject to French law. By using this site, you agree to these terms and conditions. Any legal action related to interpretation or performance of the contractual terms outlined in this document shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French tribunals applying French law.
